One scheduling note: the CPCE exam is delivered Computer-based testing via Pearson VUE testing centers — keep that in mind when choosing your session.

The CPCE exam gives you 160 (140 scored + 20 unscored) questions to complete within 180 minutes. That pacing is tighter than it looks on paper, and untimed practice will not reveal it. Rehearse with the Prep4SureReview Windows software or online engine in timed mode — repeating full-length mocks until your rhythm holds is what turns preparation time into passing margin.

Passing requires Varies by institution/program (no universal fixed passing score), and official registration costs USD 150–200 (varies by testing region and administration). Remember the fee buys one attempt only — a retake is billed in full again. The budget-friendly approach is to measure yourself first: work through 162 practice questions at Prep4SureReview under timed conditions until you clear the passing mark consistently, and only then pay for the seat.

Typically requires enrollment in or completion of a CACREP-aligned or counselor education graduate program; eligibility is confirmed via program approval or institutional authorization.

Vendor policies change from time to time, so before scheduling, confirm the current criteria on the official CCE Global exam page.
